There was no rest up for the u10s North over Christmas, playing in the Puma Cup in Stevenage. The boys started of slowly, drawing 2 and losing 1 in the first 3 games. In the 4th match they got into their stride and went on to win all of the remaining games, culminating in winning the final 3-0 against Bushmead Rovers. Played 9 Won 6 Drew 2 Lost 1
HARVESTERS FC Harvesters U12 NORTH Puma Cup Champions 2012
Harvester's Under 12's North won their first silverware of the 2012-2013 season when winning the prestigious six-a-side Puma Cup held over the Christmas period at The Football Akademy in Stevenage. Having been beaten in the final of the competition for the past two season's the North went undefeated in the group stages, winning three and drawing two of their five games, with the highlight being a 3-1 win over the ISS Academy to secure their place in the last four knockout stages. In the semi-finals the North's came up against another academy side Focus but were again victorious by a scoreline of 2-1 thanks to goals from Louie Roberts and Amir Berchil. In a very close game, the final between the North's and Crawley Green Kestrels, was settled by a strike one second from the end of normal time by Amir Berchil to give the North's a 1-0 victory. The squad of seven - Dominic Barnett (goalkeeper), Owen Gould, Thomas Patrick (1 goal), Louie Roberts (3 goals), Amir Berchil (3 goals), Finbar King (2 goals) and guest player Christian Boland (3 goals) - all played superbly to come out on top against eleven other very strong sides from across Hertfordshire to lift the trophy.
