Match Report - 24 Jan 2010, HARVESTERS FOOTBALL CLUB U11 NORTH beat Hemel Stags Aces Yellow
County Cup 3rd Round - 20 minutes each way.
Harvesters had not played for over a month but they started the match very well and were on top against a very good Stags team in the first half.
There were not many clear cut chances and it was all cut and thrust in midfield with Billy putting in a great performance with some neat simple passing and strong challenges. It was Billy who broke the deadlock after 15 minutes of the first half when after a through ball had been half cleared by the Stags defence Billy following up noticed the keeper was slighlty off his line and hit a sweet lob into the net.
In the second half the Stags came much more into the game and had a number of very good chances. Thankfully Ollie and the boys at the back kept on fighting to the end and managed to keep the vital clean sheet.
Man of the match was Billy for an excellent midfield performance
