HARVESTERS FOOTBALL CLUB

There is only one Shiv and she is loved by all. Shiv is in her 3rd season at Harvesters and has developed in to a fine striker. Last season she was one of our top 3 strikers, this season she has taken a head start on this and we believe this is all down to the new personalised boots!

Lolly is in to her 3rd season with Harvesters and is the fastest player on the pitch. Lolly has moved from defence to midfield, but she can be called upon to help out in defence if needed. Lolly is a bubbly member of the team always has a smile on her face.

Jess joined Harvesters last season and has joined Katie in central defence. Jess is a great centre back who reads the game well. She is know for clearing the ball with her head and often will come off at half time with a headache. It is hard to imagine a match without Jess, it seems like she has been with us for much longer.

This is my second season as Girls Football Development Officer, but my 4th season at the club with my son and daughter.

This season we have a variety of teams for interested players, there is the girls colts which is from ages 5+ to age 8 to 9 years. This is held on a saturday morning on the all weather pitch between 11.30 and 12.30. We have 2 coaches, Katie and Jess who are both players themselves. They work very well together and the girls that come and join the group look forward to it every week. We also work in conjunction with Arsenal Ladies who run a mini kickers session at Hatfield.

We also have 6 girls teams, U10's, U11's, U13's, U14's, U15's and U16's. We are currently looking for more players for the U13's team, this is for girls in school year 7 or 8. The teams all play in the Home Counties Girls Football League as we find that they get to play good competitive football.

Karina is in her second season with Harvesters and is a solid midfielder along side Leanne. Karina is a true character, she makes everyone laugh, when she laughs you can't help but join in. She is great at impressions and shows a strong character on and off the pitch. When Karina is fired up, keep clear of her long shots at goal, boy they sting.

Olivia is in her 4th season with Harvesters and has turned in to a very skillful right wing player. She has a great ability to turn a player and crosses some lovely balls in to the centre. She is the teams penalty taker and she does this with great composure. Olivia is a also due to receive her 100 appearances for Harvesters at the end of the season. 

Chiara is in her 4th Season at Harvesters and is such a talented player. There is nothing this girl cannot do with a ball, she is calm and collected and skillfully turns any player of the ball. Not many can win a ball from Chiara, she has good vision on the pitch and can sense were to pass the ball. Chiara, Cerys and Kayla have made some hard play look very easy. Chiara is a true pleasure to watch.

Jenna is in to her 3rd season for Harvesters and this season is the teams goal keeper. Jenna decided to take this roll after her first two matches and has earned total respect from her team mates. She is a pleasure to watch and is fearless in her new role.
In the second half of the season, Jenna has moved back in to her striker position as Tyler has decided to stay as a permanent member of the team.

Kayla is in to her 3rd season at Harvesters and is a very calm and collected player on the pitch. She makes it all looks so easy as she takes a free kick and slides it in to the top corner of the net. Also know as crossbar Johnson, but we try and keep that to the training sessions only.

Sophie joined Harvesters this season and has slotted in to the team well. She is a great player that can play defence or midfield, left or right. Is good at taking instructions and not afraid to have a tackle on the pitch. Sophie seems to be the quiet member of the team, but don't be fooled. Well done Sophie.

Cerys is our left back and is now in her 3rd season at Harvesters. Cerys is a strong reliable defender that would make any defence feel comfortable. Cerys is the joker of the team and will always come out with the unthinkable.  

Beth is in to her 3rd season at Harvesters and have developed well over the past two. Beth has shown herself to be more comfortable up front on the pitch and has made some strong passes that have led to goals.

Freya has just joined Harvesters in January after a move from Stevenage Borough Vixen. Freya is a great all round player with great speed and ability to strike on goal. The team are looking forward to the rest of the season with Freya onboard.

Tyler has come to Harvesters as a back up Goal Keeper following an injury to our regular keeper. Tyler played for Stevenage Borough Vixens until they folded at Christmas. Tyler is a strong keeper and was warmly welcomed by the girls. We wish her well in future matches.

Odette came to us as a development player two seasons ago and has improved so much that she has now joined as a team player. Odette has taken a strong position as right back and with her sporting back ground shows true determination in any match. She is one of the first to send out an email saying how much she is looking forward to a match.

Jordan is in to her 3rd season with Harvesters and she is a strong player that can be switched to any position on the field. She is a fantastic back up goal keeper and she is very committed with one of the longest journeys to training and matches. Jordan is a well respected member of the team, she is our youngest player and a very talented player at that.
